AH i love this chapter
Love and Hate :) i strongly agree with this
Not a Satanist, though, this is pretty true.
Also not a Satanist here, but I just love reading about it and showing people why not all of them are SACRIFICIAL DEMON WORSHIPERS OH JESUS.
This … is a load of crap Satanism. I love everyone. I can’t help it. It is my nature. It does NOT stop me from making good judges of characters. In fact I often get asked on that very topic as I tend to be very good judge. It does not lose its true meaning. In fact loving everyone enhances it.
Love “wasted” on ingrates makes you better than them and - in many cases - makes them better people. Which then in turn - they “waste” love on others and etc etc.
I still don’t believe Satanism is the way but *shrug* people can believe whatever they want.
I respectfully disagree with your disagreement.
Just because you are alive and breathing does not grant you any unconditional right to be loved. Here on Earth it is commonplace for people to work for and earn things, whether it be respect, trust, or love. Nobody, aside from newborns perhaps, is subject to accept love from anyone simply because they exist.
Thinking you’re a better person for loving an otherwise undeserving individual only makes you naive. Loving an ‘ingrate’ unconditionally would serve as a means for them to exploit that weakness.
Satanism doesn’t pursue a grim outlook on life or advocate hating everyone that doesn’t deserve love. It’s not that black and white. You simply reserve opinions and judgements about someone until you can accurately determine the wealth of their character. If they’re a good person worthy of your affection - love them. If they suck - don’t.
And I like wise disagree with yours.
While being alive does not grant you any unconditional right to be loved - does not mean you shouldn’t. You stated that perhaps “newborns” are the exception to the rule and I see this as naivety. The people who you see that “suck” are the very same people who need that love you deprive them of.
You have a set way of looking at the world and others have different. Some may have had traumatic events happen to them and others can not express the same emotions. Your views take judgment on someone without an understanding of their past history. Just because they see differently, does not mean they deserve less love - more so love just displayed in different ways.
“Here on Earth it is commonplace for people to work for and earn things, whether it be respect, trust, or love.” This is also a naive statement to me. The world runs on yourself and other maintaining a basic level of all these. If you meet with a new bunch of people - you do not snub them immediately for that would be foolish. You have a basic amount of respect, love or trust which grows or shrink depending on their personality. To ask everyone to build these from the start up is a childish world view which only stunts development in my eyes.
“Thinking you’re a better person for loving an otherwise undeserving individual only makes you naive. Loving an ‘ingrate’ unconditionally would serve as a means for them to exploit that weakness.” This seems a lot like the “shut down” system to me. I have taken time to learn how humans work - the off times someone has hurt me grows me instead. I have learned more and grasped more by putting my emotions in the line of fire than shrinking away from the thought that someone may exploit me - because funny enough people exploit people all the time. Just you can’t see it. I don’t see how it is naive for give people the chance to be loved. If they reject friendship - fine. Though if I was to see them in the street in need of help I would. If my love could help out one person who needs it then it is all worth it. I suppose it is different morals that comes into play here.
” You simply reserve opinions and judgements about someone until you can accurately determine the wealth of their character. If they’re a good person worthy of your affection - love them. If they suck - don’t.” First statement is wise. Second however should be worded as “If they’re a good person worthy of your affection - give them your time. If they suck - don’t.” That is a more sensible approach considering all the factors.
Side note: Yes I have read about LaVeyan Satanism and I believe it to be a crude dogma that does no good job about improving the world. Personal opinion of course. Then again I think that about lots of religious texts.
